Matt graduated from the hugely successful School of Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in 2004, having specialised in Online Journalism during the final year of a three-year degree.
From there, Matt joined the Crash Media Group to work as a journalist on Crash.net, and worked his way up to the role of editor before changes within the company allowed him the opportunity to explore other avenues with his career.
Matt has worked extensively within the British Touring Car Championship in recent years, while also writing on a wide range of areas, from Formula One and the World Rally Championship, to British F3 and UK Rallying.
As well as working in the online environment, Matt has also contributed to the long-running Autocourse annual since 2005, worked as a consultant on 2006 edition of The Kingfisher Motorsport Encyclopedia and has had work published in the leading motorsport magazine Autosport.
Matt has also appeared on a number of radio stations to air views and reactions to breaking motorsport news having worked alongside the team at Intotomedia on a motorsport-themed radio station earlier in his career.
Outside the world of journalism, Matt has also expanded his career to include Public Relations work for a range of clients, including BTCC teams sunshine.co.uk with Tech-Speed and Pinkney Motorsport, title-winning Rallycross outfit Team Geriartric and British F3 racer William Buller.
